Voice assistant devices are all the rage right now. They allow us to conveniently order products, ask questions, set reminders, and control our environment just by speaking certain keywords and phrases from the comfort of our living room couch. Much like many other consumer electronic devices that were originally designed to be used in the home or businesses, voice assistants are breaking out of these environments and finding a place in the classrooms of innovative teachers who use them to empower both their students and themselves. This webinar will illustrate early best-practice ideas for utilizing voice assistants like Amazon's Alexa, Google's Voice Assistant, Apple's Siri, and Microsoft's Cortana to make learning fun, dynamic, and accessible for diverse learners. We will also explore several add-on voice assistant "skills" that teachers might find useful, including options for supporting student research, reading, and recreation!

Whilst AT Network strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so when linking to documents and sites outside of our site. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring these other areas up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
