Digital Accessibility Summer Series: Video Accessibility Archived
Presented by: Matthew Newton
Date & Time: Thursday, August 6, 2020 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET

Using video in virtual instruction is a popular and effective way to present information to students. Students with disabilities, particularly those with hearing or visual impairments, may need supports such as captioning, transcripts, or visual descriptions to fully access your instructional video content. During this webinar, we will demonstrate how teachers can efficiently add these supports to their instructional videos using well known tools like YouTube and other digital video platforms.

Whilst AT Network strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so when linking to documents and sites outside of our site. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring these other areas up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the material, please don’t hesitate to contact us at matthewn@vt.edu.
