DIY Light Tech Eye Gaze to Access Education Archived
Date & Time: Wednesday, February 23, 2022 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM ET

Looking at an object may seem like an easy task; but, for some students, learning how to use an eye gaze system can be a complex skill that takes time to learn. An eye gaze frame is a light tech tool that can help students enhance their visual skills to make reliable selections. This session will include an opportunity to create an eye gaze frame and information on how to get started using it with your students. We will go over a brief description of eye gaze, how you can determine which students may benefit, what skills can be built, and how it can be used to access academics and communication in the classroom.

This session will be limited to 50 registrants, who will receive materials in the mail and have an opportunity for a "live" make and take. A list of materials and a recording of the session will be posted several weeks after the "live" session for those who are not able to participate live. Register by February 2, 2022 to receive session materials in the mail!

Whilst AT Network strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so when linking to documents and sites outside of our site. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring these other areas up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the material, please don’t hesitate to contact us at matthewn@vt.edu.
