Using Voice Access & JAWS for Students with Visual Impairments and Physical Disabilities
Presented by: Hannah Geller and Ian Dunn
Date & Time: Tuesday, November 19, 2024 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM ET
Location: CR3 (Upper Level )

This session will highlight how a teacher and student utilize Windows 11 Accessibility features and JAWS to make a PC more accessible for a student with a Visual Impairment and Cerebral Palsy. The session will show the successes achieved, challenges faced, and hopes for the technology that can be created in the future to make navigating a PC more accessible for people with visual impairments and fine motor needs.

Whilst AT Network strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so when linking to documents and sites outside of our site. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring these other areas up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the material, please don’t hesitate to contact us at matthewn@vt.edu.
