Conference Program
Learning need not be a chore for everyone, including those with IEPs or 504s. Join the fun in Part 1 of our full day learning experience as we explore 14 methods which engage and empower ALL students to take charge of their own learning. Federal law mandates inclusive practices, yet educators continue to struggle with how to design lessons which include students with disabilities. This session is meant to give educators practical strategies they can immediately employ to re-think how they approach educational experiences to plan for the variable, unique needs of every learner.
This session is NOT a laundry list of tools to throw at students. Although tools will be mentioned and referenced, a main idea is that the purpose, not the specific tool itself, is paramount. Functions that will be discussed will include solutions for reading and writing, executive function supports, study supports, and yes... we will discuss AI too!
The facilitators will design a web based landing page to document our learning. This session will be highly interactive with participants working to create digital artifacts through technology exploration. This AM session will focus on technology solutions to meet the unique needs of each learner.
