Unpacking House Bill 2219: From Policy to Practice - Part 2 Online

This 3-part free webinar series will focus on House Bill 2219 as it pertains to training for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in our schools.

Part 1: Reviews the specific language of the bill and highlights resources from the VA Assistive Technology Network that support team planning and address commonly-asked questions.

Part 2: Participants will hear voices from the field as they share division-wide processes and procedures they have developed in response to this bill.

Part 3: Concludes the series with educator, disability advocate, and AAC user Jordyn Zimmerman sharing about the importance of proper support and training during school years to have better outcomes later in life.

After you submit your evaluation, the confirmation page will enable you to request your certificate by entering your name and email address. This certificate can be submitted to your supervisor or administrator who can determine how many recertification points can be given.
