Al for Access: Using Artificial Intelligence to Support Students with Disabilities in Virginia Schools Online

Free Hybrid Event

Join us for an in-depth, hands-on exploration of how artificial intelligence tools can support students with disabilities across Virginia.

Participants may attend fully online or join us in person at one of our statewide hub locations for enhanced hands-on support:

  • TTAC at Virginia Tech (Blacksburg)
  • TTAC at Virginia Commonwealth University (Richmond)
  • TTAC at William & Mary (Williamsburg)

Online and in-person participants can expect professional learning topics and content including:

  • Introduction -"The State of AI in Virginia Schools" Presented by Morris Pace, VDOE
  • AI for AAC: Enhancing Communication Supports
  • Practical AI Implementation Strategies for Students and Educators
  • Exploratory "Unconference" Time for Collaboration, Problem Solving, and Q&A.
  • Closing Panel Discussion -Ethics, Policies, and Planning

Certificate of Participation

At the end of each TechKnowledgy webinar, you will be given a link to an evaluation to complete and submit. After you submit your evaluation, the confirmation page will enable you to request your certificate by entering your name and email address. This certificate can be submitted to your supervisor or administrator who can determine how many recertification points can be given.
