Conference Program
Thursday, February 26, 2015 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM ET
Interactive whiteboards are standard in most regular classrooms these days and should be standard in special education classrooms as well. Coming to the board and physically interacting with the material presented can add another dimension to learning for special education students. Plus differentiating the material in interactive whiteboard activities is easy to do so everyone in the class can participate. In this session the presenter will show practical suggestions for helping your special education students become comfortable using the interactive whiteboard and demonstrate many activities that have been used successfully in the special education classroom. The presenter will demonstrate activities made in Smart Notebook, Active Inspire, and Interwrite Workspace. Participants will also: learn to manipulate items on the board; learn about Internet sites to use with interactive whiteboards; explore considerations when designing activities; and, learn differentiation and documentation of student performance. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions at the end of this live webinar.
