Part 2- The How of Access for All Students with Accessible Materials & Technologies
Presented by: Kelli Suding
Date & Time: Thursday, April 27, 2023 1:00 PM - 3:45 PM ET
Location: Madison Bldg - Henrico A

Part 1 and Part 2 will explore different content.

Creating our classroom instruction with learner variability in the forefront will allow us to be mindful in meeting the needs of all of our students. Oftentimes, the use of assistive technology is the appropriate accommodation to meet those needs.

Let's keep it going together! Part 2 of this workshop, attendees will learn about no cost, valuable resources to dive deeper into the what and how of accessibility. Attendees will also learn about access to free/low-cost simple AT tools for Mac, PC, iOS, and Chrome extensions to turn classroom worksheets, documents into accessible formats/instruction for independent student access and other assistive technology options. Make room for your educational tool belt because it is about to get full!

For copies of presentations and handout materials (including accessible versions), please contact ksuding@cast.org.

Whilst AT Network strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so when linking to documents and sites outside of our site. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring these other areas up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the material, please don’t hesitate to contact us at matthewn@vt.edu.
