VDOE’s T/TAC at VCU
Amber supports teachers in their facilitation of LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) and Inclusive Practices. She is the Regions 1 & 8 Dyslexia Advisor lead and facilitates initiatives to support Dyslexia Advisors, educates division administrators and teachers on the characteristics of Dyslexia, and provides them with resources to support struggling readers. Amber is trained in the multisensory structured language approach to reading (Orton-Gillingham) and LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling). Amber also supports teachers to provide inclusive opportunities for students with disabilities in K-5 settings.
