This session will provide an overview of recent statewide survey findings related to AAC assessment, use, and professional development needs. A review of AAC processes, considerations, supports, tools, and resources will be shared. Discussion of the regulatory requirement to address the communication needs of students who are non-verbal and those with complex communication needs will highlight opportunities for involvement of staff and families.
