Melanie is a Training and Technical Assistance Associate for VCU's Autism Center for Education (ACE) and an ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certified speech-language pathologist. Melanie served as an SLP in the public school setting for 13 years, with the last seven years spent primarily working with children who utilize augmentative and alternative communication systems. She is passionate about providing training and support to educators and families to ensure access to meaningful communication for all individuals.
