Consideration of Assistive Technology through the Appropriate Delivery of Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) Face-to-Face

The Norfolk Public School Assistive Technology Team will share how this school division is using the interactive VATTS version as a tool to consider the assistive technology (AT) needs of students. They will describe how moving from an AT evaluation process that used an “expert model” to developing a collaborative consideration process has helped IEP teams, during the IEP meeting, determine AT devices or strategies which will support specially designed instruction.
Whilst AT Network strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so when linking to documents and sites outside of our site. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring these other areas up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
